Happy new, limitless and purposeful 2018
It’s New Year’s eve and time for another post. It hasn’t been easy coming up with the right message given the significance of what’s just ahead of us….. a whole new year with 365 days.
Everyday is a new gift to us and we get to unwrap this gift and enjoy it, all 365 of them.
I could write about reflections or setting new year goals, resolutions and new beginnings. It’s about all of those things and more.
When I think of a new year, I think of a fresh start and it gives me hope. It’s a reminder that all things are possible and I can put the past behind me and take advantage of the new opportunities that are sure to come.
Looking back on 2017, I made some mistakes and I suspect you did too. Mistakes make us better people if we learn from them so don’t be afraid of them.
Take some risks even if you think you might get it wrong. Failure means you’re taking risks and doing something. You can’t fail if you don’t take any chances but it also means there are no chances for success.
Leave behind the doubts, self-pity, hesitation, fear and regret of 2017. Move on with hope, dedication, fearlessness and belief.
In 2018, you will have new opportunities to go after your dreams, achieve some goals, start a new business, change direction, start a new career and mend some fences or broken relationships.
The key point is you will get new opportunities and have new doors opened to you. What will you do with them?
I can say, ‘happy new year’ to you or wish you all the very best and I do. But more than that I really want to say, ‘Have a year that matters’. Make 2018 count.
The challenge is to be your best possible self in 2018. To do that, you’ve got to have Faith.
Mine is in God and in myself. Believe you have it in you to be all that you are created to be and to accomplish any goals you set.
I hope you see a year with no limits. Because I do.
Here’s to a limitless and purposeful you in 2018. I look forward to celebrating You at the end of 2018. Happy new year!

This could have been written specifically for me as I look back, not with pain anymore, on the lost opportunities and learn from them. Thank you Yemi for words which show there are NO limits when we trust in God, that He has a purpose for each and everyone of us. Xx
